I’ve been listening to this song on repeat this week, as we are spending our evenings planning, preparing, and making difficult life decisions that no young family should ever have to face. And at the same time, I am painfully reminded that we are not unique in our circumstances. In this group alone, there are some that have already endured the very same path we are on. There are others with different pain and struggles, but no less significant…family in crisis, marriage struggles, financial issues, addictions, children making poor choices, health issues, disabilities, accidents, loss, the list goes on. With that in mind, I hope this song encourages you too. This world is not our home. Hold on. Don’t let go. Just take one step closer, put one foot in front of the other. You’ll get through this. Just follow the light in the darkness. You’re gonna be ok.
This will not last. It’s not the end. Press in. You’re going to be ok. The ONLY one who can satisfy the longings of your heart is Jesus. Seek Him, find Him, turn to Him.
Medical update: Round 2 of Jeff’s IVIG treatment starts on Monday, June 12th and Tuesday, June 13th. He has remained somewhat stable since the first round of IVIG. Unfortunately, he has seen no improvement in strength, with a very slight decline in upper body strength. Always prayerful, always hopeful. Hope is never lost. Hope is never lost. #defeatALS
